My last few 6 Pack Abs tutorials have focused on the training program and specific exercise demonstrations. However, as I’ve said before, getting leaner depends mostly upon how you eat. Abs are made in the kitchen. In addition to an intelligent nutrition plan there are several supplements that will support your fat loss endeavors. This short video discusses my choices for the Top 6 Fat Loss Supplements for 6 Pack Abs.
I should also specify that these are my top choices for “natural” supplements… there are certainly drugs that will work faster, but I’m looking for long term progress without negative side effects. And remember, supplements are not absolutely necessary for getting results… you should be able to meet most of your nutritional requirements by consuming unprocessed, natural, whole food. But these are some supplements that can help to sleep up the fat loss process.
These supplements include Fish Oil, CLA, Green Tea, Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), Probiotics, and Caffeine.
You can find all of these supplements at my online store:

Remember, supplements are meant to “supplement” a well-balanced and well-planned nutrition program… they are not meant to replace whole food. These supplements are not magic potions or quick fixes, but they are healthy products that will certainly help you with getting leaner, especially when you get down to that last 5 to 10 lbs of stubborn body fat you are trying to lose to reveal those damn abs!
You can also order quality supplements at excellent prices from True Nutrition … use the discount code TOPFORM for 5% off your order.
Some other supplements that I recommend and use on a regular basis include:
–Vitamin D (the research and benefits behind this “super-vitamin” is incredible!)
–Whey Protein Isolate
–Juice Plus+
Leave a comment below and let me know if you use any of these supplements. If not, what supplements do you use and what results have you noticed?
I wish you luck in your quest for a 6 pack!
Stay fit,
Josh
Thanks Josh for the video.
I must admit I have been missing out on my fish oils recently. With all these things it’s important to get into a habit.
I combine my supplement routine with EFT (Tapping). This helps me mentally with my fitness program. It helps me to remain focused and motivated.
Keep up the good work.

Big fan of EFT… learned about it years ago from Dr. Mercola. I must admit though I’ve been slacking with my tapping! How about this: I’ll add EFT back into my routine, and you get back on your supplement / nutrition plan! (o:
Thanks for the comment,

Hi Josh,
Could you give some insight into hormonal supplements – since I am now 48, there seems to be a drop in testosterone levels for males my age which has a direct effect on reducing muscle mass and increasing body fat composition. Are there are natural supplements to ratch up the old ‘t’ levels for guys like us?
Thanks
Hey Abhijit,
The effectiveness of hormone-booster supplements is debatable, but there seems to be some positive research on a supplement called DAA (D-Aspartic Acid)… check it out. Some people swear by Tribulus, Avena Sateva, Stinging Nettle, etc, but I’m not convinced. The best way to boost natural testosterone and GH levels is by manipulating your diet and exercise: HIIT cardio and high intensity resistance training with super-setting has been shown to stimulate anabolic hormone production. Avoid excessive cardio or long workouts and stick to more intense short burst workouts. Increase healthy fat intake as your body needs fats to produce hormones (ie: coconut oil, raw nuts, whole eggs, fish oil, etc). Get more sleep. Exercise on an empty stomach and eat after. Train with big compound exercises that boost GH (squats, big pushing-pulling movements, etc). Have cold showers. Have more sex. Get more fresh air and sunlight. Good luck!

Unfortunately, you cannot taregt your back fat by itself. When you lose fat, you lose it evenly throughout your entire body. Some parts of your body hold a higher amount of fat than others, so let’s say you start losing fat. You may notice your arms becoming very defined, but your back still looks fat’. If you kept losing fat, eventually your low back would become shapely or sleek, though your arms at that point will appear ripped’ and VERY LEAN. Every BODY is different. You will need to reduce your overall body fat to reduce the fat on the back. Surgical means are two other ways to reduce fat or excess skin of the lower back. The lower body lift or liposuction are two procedures that can be performed. Obviously weight lose is suggested over this more drastic measure. If you simply cannot blast away this stubborn area, liposuction can remove the fatty tissue. If you have lost a significant amount of weight and have excess skin, a lower body lift can remove the skin. Good luck.
