I am actually a bit nervous offering up fitness advice on this man’s Blog. I am a runner, yet I am not sure I can run fast enough to escape the wrath of Josh Hewett should my words turn out to be rubbish. I do know some Karate, but there is no chopping your way through those Hewett warrior arms.
Take a look for yourself. Click back a page or two within the Top Form Fitness Web site, blog, tweets and Face book video archives… we have enough outstanding strength and conditioning counsel to keep us going for a decade (or two).
This had better be good.
So I began a search for something fresh. Something original. Something just for the followers of Josh Hewett. The TFF sophisticated athletes are knowledgeable in vast arenas of health and fitness. Strong women and men. Impressive stuff really.
Josh, I have your readers in mind as I bring this muscle building secret to light.
Here it is. A strength training confidence builder. A booster of internal motivation for continued strength development.
Give back to the fitness community.
Take what you know and find a place to give it away. Be available to help someone else gain strength. Help them dig deeper toward increased strength training intensity.
You do not have to be a college professor to encourage someone. To teach or demonstrate what you know. You have a wealth of information. Strength building experience that others do not have.
Don’t inflict someone else with an encyclopedia of information. Don’t bore people. Don’t try and impress anybody. Just be aware of other people who may appreciate the information that helped you gain strength. Be ready. Be willing to help someone else get stronger.
It does not have to interfere with your workout. An encouraging word or a needed spot will reveal an opportunity to give a little more information in a teachable moment to a listening ear.
Remember, there will most likely always be someone in the room that is stronger than you and knows more about strength training than you. Don’t worry about that. This is about your willingness to take what you know and share it with someone else in a moment that calls for you to give back.
In doing so you will tap into a new level of muscle building inspiration. You will become refreshed in your commitment to becoming the most fit version of you possible . Sure, you can get big and strong on your own, but think back to the crowd of people that helped you get where you are today.
Get big. Get strong. Get fast.
Give back to the fitness community.
